Brian’s Story

Site created on August 4, 2022

Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your prayers and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

This past Saturday night Brian had an accident and sustained multiple skull fractures and a brain bleed. Surgery went well, but as of right now he's heavily sedated
until they're certain that the pressure in his skull is stable and it's safe to wake him up.  The vigil around Brian is a daily roller coaster ride for Patrick, his mother Judy and all of his family that are trying to support them.

So many people are praying for Brian and following his story that we thought this site might help us share news and also allow the family to hear from so many who care about Patrick and Brian.

Good afternoon friends!
As we look back, we continue to be overwhelmed by the response to Brian's accident.  It has now been a little over 5 weeks since Brian's fall.  He has been home from the hospital for over 2 weeks now.   Being home has had the greatest impact on his recovery.  Every day with his beloved dog Pumpkin is good for the soul and almost more important than any physical therapy.  Walks to the dog park are a daily excursion.  Hearing the piano in the apartment again is music to our ears.  Brian continues with his therapies and has exceeded everyone's expectations.  He is stronger every day.
This will be our last post to CaringBridge.  We are beyond grateful, and forever changed by this community of love for Brian. Thank you seems so inadequate.  Your overwhelming words of encouragement, love, support and prayers have sustained us through unimaginable uncertainty.   We ask that you keep Brian in your thoughts as he continues his journey to recovery.

With much respect and love,
Brian's Family
