Bret’s Story

Site created on May 30, 2017

We have set up this site to help keep everyone informed on what is happening with Bret's stomach cancer.  It will be a busy month.  Thanks for all the thoughts, prayers,  and offers of help.
Doctors appointments on 5-31, 6-1, 6-2, PET scan on 6-7.   Follow up with oncologist 6-12.   I will add more information here as I get it.

Newest Update

Journal entry by Bret Pieti

Another week of chemo treatments complete.  7 weeks so far of chemo treatments.  I will do 1 more treatment before my next PET scan. Scan tentatively scheduled for the 24th.  I have my biliary drain change scheduled for tomorrow morning.  This was the first time with the drain that I didn’t have any issues.  No pulled stitches, no broken stitches, or no other issues with the drain.   I’m hoping that the drain can be internalized so that I can not have the drain bag hanging off me all the time. These rounds of chemo are feeling more difficult than the ones I did the first time. I feel more tired and fatigued after every round of chemo.  Hoping that the chemo is doing what it’s supposed to be doing and that’s the reason I’m feeling so tired.
