Journal entry by Shannon Tanimoto Fisher —
As we tread down this new journey, I've realized that taking care of a teenager with cancer is a lot like caring of a newborn. We have been glued to Brennon's side with a thermometer, meds, and water. Constantly asking him if he ate, how much he ate, and what he ate. We're happy to curl up next to him when he asks us to (teenagers don't ask that of us very often) and waking up at all hours with his smallest requests. We are also realizing that this process requires Teamwork! Yesterday, last night and this morning was pretty rough on Brennon's body, which ended him up in the ER today. Brett and I divided and conquered. Both Brianna and Skylar had plans as well, so Brett took Brennon, I took Skylar, and Bri, herself. Brett and I also managed to package almost 300 bracelets late last night. Y'all we feel the LOVE and support. It was so touching looking at all the people that have requested bracelets. So Thank you for walking along side of us during this journey. We truly could not do this without the love, encouragement, and guidance from all of you!
