Journal entry by Marie Terrell

Brenna is home! She was discharged from the hospital in the evening and is so looking forward to resting in the comfort of her normal surroundings.
If ever I doubted that miracles really happen, those doubts are gone with the belief I had that God hated me.

Thank you to all of you who prayed for her and her family, who sent positive thoughts and energy into the universe for her, who reached out to us, and who shared her journey with others. Your prayers were heard, God and the Universe responded, and not only did she survive when I was told 3 different times that she may not survive, and she did so in such a short amount of time and with no residual effects of anoxic brain injury. Wounded relationships were healed, new friendships were formed, and she now has the realization validated that her life has a purpose.
The first words she spoke to me when she was taken off the vent 2 days ago was "saranghae" which is the Korean phrase that means "I love you", giving my heart immense joy and comfort in believing that my mom was ever present in this journey and guided Brenna back to continue her purpose here on earth.
Thank you EVERYONE and much love and gratitude to you all!!!
