Journal entry by Whitney Silva —
My apologies for the late update. I was just absolutely slammed with work.
All good news! Brenda has been making consistent and steady progress. She is making gains in her transfers (from bed to chair), time standing, and other self care activities. Her cognitive functioning score is near perfect and her spirits are high. She is very strong!
She continues to welcome encouragement and well wishes. As of now, the plan is to stay in rehab for as long as it continues to help her. As you might imagine, months in a hospital setting can be boring and lonely, so please reach out and schedule a visit or phone call if you can.
