Hi Sheila. I was one of the nurses who cared for Bre when she was first admitted to the 4th floor icu. I finished my contract at Froedtert but thought of Bre often and would check this page for updates, and pray for her and your family. I am sad to hear of her passing, but glad she was able to be pain free, surrounded by those she loved most. I know it’s been some time, but I hope you all find comfort and peace in knowing that you all fought so hard for her, did everything that you could and when it was time, honored her by recognizing what she and her body were trying to tell you. It was an honor to care for her.

I was so fortunate to get to know Bre and coach her in travel. Her zest for life, her laugh, and her carefree nature were shining moments for all of us who got to know her. I have so many memories which I will cherish forever. Thoughts and prayers to you Scott and all her family, I can't even imagine the sorrow. Please note Bre was an amazing kid who left an impact on everyone who was fortunate to know her. Thank you Sheila for maintaining this site and allowing us all to follow her life and journey. Rest in peace, Bre. You will always be on my lineup card.
