Journal entry by Kelli Burns Mitchell

It’s been a couple of months now, Brayden’s monthly appointments have been good. April was a bit crazy. He started cycle 3 of 7, so we had back to back Monday appointments for chemo and a week of dexamethasone (that is never fun for anyone involved) but we keep marching along. His ANC has been staying right where we want it (immunosuppressed but not too immunosuppressed).  The kids are still enrolled in online school but I think next year they will get to go back.   We will be half way through maintenance in September so that is very exciting. We have been a little more (cautiously) adventurous :) the kids got to spend some time with their cousins over spring break. We spend a lot of time outside but we have been doing some indoor activities. We went to auntie Evelyn’s and visited with her and Nanette (that was really nice to start getting out and visiting). I think we all need it. Brayden started going back to the psychologist for some worries and some anger he has been feeling (I think the anger comes from his meds).
Anyway, it’s time to clean grandmas pool and we are looking forward to spending lots of time in it this summer!
