Newest Update

Journal entry by Aubrey Ingman

Due to some new symptoms that came about on January 31st, like possible seizure activity, Brock and Jessica decided to take Braxton in to see a pediatric neurologist. Appointments would be delayed if they attempted to schedule an office consultation, so they opted for the ER on the 31st because their first choice doctor was on-call in the ER that night.

While Braxton went in with neurological concerns - unfortunately he left the hospital with a diagnosis of Early Infantile Epileptic Encephalopathy (EIEE).

After some super long, hard days and nights in the hospital, they are happy and grateful to be back in the comfort of their own home with their sweet boy.

Here are some updates and prayer requests from the fam:

Braxton experiences seizures every  10 seconds or so, and while the condition is often medication resistant, Jessica and Brock are hopeful that they can find a regimen that will help Braxton be comfortable. He is currently on a strong dose of steroids for the next two weeks and then will have a follow up with a neurologist for a further plan. The steroids can make him aggravated and not sleep well - they ask for prayers for rest and patience.

He is continuing to eat better and that is a prayer request that will be ongoing. Please pray that Braxton eats well and allows his parents to get some rest with him.

They are completely blown away by all of the support, prayers, texts, calls,  donations, and love more than words can say.
