Brandon is 8 months post transplant and continues to be doing well.

He still is battling graft-vs-host is his GI trait.  This has caused him some pain and he lost just a few pounds due to this but he still looks great.

They have adjusted his steroid levels and hopefully will be switching him over soon to another drug to help get arid of this.

He is still on most of the medications that he was on at discharge. They want to make sure he does not get any infection-bacterial or fungal and to keep CMV-(cytomegalovirus) at bay.

The aplastic  anemia is in remission, it is still too early to know if the CVID-(common variable immunodeficiency) will be in remission as well as his immune system is still rebuilding.

He continues to go to Mayo every other week for labs, doctor appointments and his IVIG-(intravenous immunoglobulin therapy) infusion. He will continue to do this for the near future.

He was able to go back to work on reduced hours and hopefully will be back to full time soon.  His positive attitude and all of his walking/weights has helped him ease back to work.

His BMT team remains very happy with his progress and they enjoy their visits with him.

Please pray that GVHD leaves him alone so he can continue on to his healthy new life.

Thanks for the support.
