At 10:30pm last night, we got a very positive and upbeat call from Ami and Matt that Braelie was doing extremely well. I was looking forward to writing a post early this morning telling everyone how great she was doing, and all her accomplishments from the day, including getting to be held my her mama, and getting her first kiss from her daddy. However, early this morning, we got a phone call that painted a very different picture. Sweet Braelie had taken a turn for the worse, and had developed a hole in her intestine that was leaking fluid into her abdomen. Ami, Matt, and Braelie were flown from Billings to Denver, where she underwent surgery this afternoon. She is now recovering in the NICU at the Children's Hospital in Aurora, CO. Her vitals are stable, but she is still in very critical condition. Thank you all so very much for the continued prayers and well wishes. Matt and Ami need all the love and support they can get.
