Brad and a friend and his siblings were outside friday evening having a fire. He went and got gas to pour on the fire to get it going. The result of gas exploding he got face and hand burns. They are second degree burns on his face and second and third degree burns on his hands. He was taking by Lake Norden ambulance to Watertown SD. Evaluated in watertown and wanted to send him to a burn center. So they transferred him to Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis Minnesota (Burn Center).

Hello. It's been 3 years since Brads accident. We had a checkup in Minneapolis on Friday. Dr. Gayken was very happy on the results. Brads left hand is amazing. Doc said he didn't want to brag but he said " I did an amazing job" and so did Brad to get the movement back. No more work for his hand. Just keep an eye on it as he grows. For his face. Doc said it looks wonderful. Said he didn't want to do any more treatments to it but then he said he wanted to try a new laser on it that they just got in. It's a laser dye. He makes the redness go away and make it skin tone so his scar won't show much. We go for that treatment on November 24th. Dr. Thinks that he can do the treatment with out any sedation. They have tried it on themselves and said it's not painful. So they are gonna leave it up to Brad. When we get there they will get him ready for sedation and then try the dye laser on his hand and see how he does. If he can handle it then they will go to his face.. I'm sure Brad can do it without sedation. Brad has been satisfied with the turn out of is scarring and what his facial appearance looks like.. Please continue to pray for Brad and family as we continue this journey.
