Journal entry by Lyndsay Tiller Soulé —
Hello! It's been a month since my last update, and yet it feels so much longer. I'm sorry for the delay in updates, it has been a slow journey. Brad has been home just over 5 weeks now, and the healing process was definitely better at home. 🧡 Brad was on oxygen the whole time. It was a test of patience for him, he hasn't been working, hasn't been able to easily leave the house. He was just very exhausted. The only thing he could try to do to get stronger was a breathing exercise and take his vitamins, and be surrounded by family. 🧡 He has missed being able to go out like normal, drive his truck, work, and even something as simple as his part of our weekly plan, his trip to the store. (We're a good team...I plan the meals, & make the shopping list and he goes to the store to get it all.) All the sudden, this last Monday, he was able to take off his oxygen and his Sats didn't plummet like before! He kept it off over 6 hours and was fine. He slept, then never put it on the next morning... and hasn't used it since! He still says he feels like he is at 60% of his normal self, but that's so much better than he's been in what feels like forever!
We're so happy to report Brad is finally doing so much better! We're so thankful to our family who have spent a lot of time at our house with us understanding we can't go anywhere easily, and our friends who have reached out, and thankful for answered prayers of continued healing. 🧡
