Thank you Emme and Kate (via Roxanne) for helping me understand
the language.

Acute Myeloid Leukemia is the diagnosis rendered at this time with further testing to be concluded Monday 10/25; if a blood clot and fever are significantly reduced.

Symptoms and time line:
8/17 :Head ache and runny nose - must be an allergy, treat with OTC
9/25: we celebrate our 29th wedding anniversary in New Port Beach, same discomfort but we walk and talk for miles. Eat at Crab Cooker with Cass, Rey and Rachael (Bonnie's favorite restaurant).

10/7:  visit to the dentist because of jaw pain, nothing detected. Night sweats and a bit of nausea commence.
10/14: Jaw pain migrates to neck and then to groin,  - contact primary care professional for appointment. Covid test is negative and doc suggests blood panel test. The results trigger her contacting a blood disease specialist.

10/18: meeting with oncology doc suggests condition to warrant deeper review; more blood draws.
10/19 evening: Sister Lynn visiting with Bonnie while I'm flying home from a business conference. Severe leg pain at midnight causes concern and call to doctor. Lynn is advised to take Bonnie to OSHU emergency. Blood clot is identified, along with further testing.

Today, 10/23 Bonnie is under the care of a three person Oncology team whom are awaiting to complete the work-up of her Leukemia cells to commence treatment.
An aggressive treatment plan is going to facilitate remission.

Your prayers are needed: Bonnie's  freedom from pain, fear and anxiety.

Bless you all, Seth.

Newest Update

Journal entry by Bonnie Taylor Talbot

Good Morning to all of you who have been part of this.  I am now 616 days out of the stem cell transplant. That seems like a very long time.  August 10 will be two years.

Daily I think about all of you and your support through this.  I am humbled often that I get to continue to live this life.  I ask my higher power daily what I can to do to show this gratitude and love that I have for you all.  And each day I  attempt to stay in the moment and the day in joy.

My dear Seth continues to care for me in so many ways.  I love him to pieces.  We know I am better because I am making lists about garden modifications.  And, I am getting vigorous about trimming and loving it.  Additionally,  I get to do water aerobics three times a week.

I guess what I am trying to convey is to be alive is amazing and I want to be part of this life with all of me.

Thank you, thank  you, thank you. I hold your smiling faces in my heart and mind often.

Bonnie
