Journal entry by Joe Lesser

Thank you everyone for your kind words. We knew Bonnie was loved, and the outreach and kind words we have received really shows that.

Due to the times we are living in, we are planning on having a drive-by memorial as a way to celebrate Bonnie. We are planning on being outside on our lawn from 8am to 8pm on Saturday, May 30th (6757 Zinnia Lane N, Maple Grove, MN 55311). We are trying to give as big of a window as possible so that we can see as many people as we can. We are so excited to see everyone and hear a Bonnie story or two!

When you come, please take the path shown on the map attached:

(From 67th Ave N, turn north onto Yucca Ln N. Then, take a left onto 68th Pl N. Then, turn left down Zinnia Ln N.)

Here are a few comments and considerations for the day:

  • We don’t know how many people we will be seeing that day, so we would please ask that everyone stay in their car as they come by and stay a minimum of 6ft away.

  • Please be considerate of the neighborhood and avoid blocking any driveways or other traffic that needs to move throughout the neighborhood.

  • If you are unable to turn down 68th Pl N because there are already cars waiting there, please consider coming back at a later time if it is convenient.

    • You could also park at Donahue North Park nearby and go for a small walk to pass time as you wait.

  • Please know that we want to talk to everyone but if there is a long line, we may not be able to visit for an extended period of time.

  • Contact Emily for a Facetime/video chat or call during the day if it is more convenient for you.

We are very excited to see as many people as possible, and thank you everyone for your support in these hard times. We have loved hearing memories and stories, please continue to send these to the email address (BonnieLesserMemorial@gmail.com), so we can cherish it for a long time to come. Pictures and videos have been especially loved. See you all Saturday!
