Dear Family & Friends,
First of all I would just like to say thank you to everyone for the tremendous amount of support, sweet messages, and prayers that my Mom has received. This process has been very scary and overwhelming but to know that my Mom has such an amazing support system and is so loved by so many has been a huge blessing. So thank you again for all the prayers, God has been so good to my Mom and our family through this trying time. She has received the best care at Campbell County Memorial Hospital. The nurses and doctors have been so attentive and made sure to keep our family up to date on what was going on through this whole process amid COVID-19 as we were unable to be with her.
Bonnie was released from the Hospital yesterday and I was able to take her home. It was the first time my brother and I were able to see her in weeks, it was a huge relief to just finally see her in person. We have her all situated at home. I will be here for the next week to make sure she is settled, and then we will be having a home health nurse checking in a couple times a week. Our goal right now is to get her stamina and strength built back up. We have started the process of introducing solid foods back into her diet such as soup and eggs. She has been sleeping alot which is good, her body has alot of healing to do. Bonnie will have her followup appointment in 2 weeks where she will have followup testing and we will begin the process of discussing treatment options. My Mom's faith has always been strong but to watch her stay so positive, so faithful, and unwavering through this when she had to face it all alone with out family and friends has been a true testament to me and to our family.
We ask that you keep her in your prayers as she has a long road ahead of her. We know one thing Bonnie Driskill is made of tough stuff, she is a fighter and determined to get healthy.
Bonnie would just like to say a BIG THANK YOU to all her prayer warriors and everyone who sent flowers, kind words, and has offered support. She gives all of you a big virtual hug!!
