Bob’s Story

Site created on July 4, 2018

Bob Urick spent his life caring for his family. He was there when they needed him, with love, wisdom, and a sense of humor. Two years ago, Bob suffered a stroke that left him unable to safely care for himself. For over 35 years, he and his wife Tobi taught their family how to stick together, and support one another. Two years ago, the Urick's didn't hesitate when Bob needed help. They pulled together to make sure that Bob went to all of his PT, doctor appointments, had church service and anything else he needed. They renovated the house to ensure that Bob could come home again, to the house that his family was raised in. The house he had worked on every weekend for over 40 years, building “Urick's Utopia.”

Last Friday, Bob was rushed to the hospital due to complications related to his stroke. On Tuesday July 2, 2018, he passed away. Our hearts are broken over this loss.

Born to parents Frank and Viola Urick in Biwabik, MN, he resided in Shoreview, MN, and is survived by his wife Tobi of 35 years. daughter Lisa (Steve) Edberg, son Steve (Layne) Urick, daughter Brandi (Ken) Nosbusch, and daughter Cheroki Urick. One granddaughter Brynn Nosbusch. Sisters Margaret (Jerry), Charlotte (Harland), and brother Larry (Vicki).

“A man of many strengths, loved and cherished, our hero will forever be in our hearts and missed beyond words.”
