Journal entry by Pat Sherwood —
It's hard to believe it's been eight weeks since my life turned upside down. I'd love to tell you I've gotten through the grieving process and come out on the other side, all happiness and joy. As I'm learning, it is an ever evolving process. Our children, grandchildren, family and friends continue to offer any assistance I could ever need, and all the love and support I will continue to need. Life, however, continues moving along.
Each morning, for some unknown reason, the BeeGees start my day with "Good Morning Mr. Sunshine" playing in my head. It's odd, we never particularly listened to the song, but it makes me think of Bob. When the sun is actually shining--rare in Cincinnati in the late winter, early spring--it makes it even more special. I look out the window and can almost feel him behind me, resting his chin on the top of my head. I read somewhere (thank you Jenny) that our loved ones never really leave us, we just have to be open to their presence around us--in a song, or a scent, in the warmth of the wind, or the beauty of the sunrise. I know you're there, honey, but I still miss you.
Scott, Jonathon, Jesseca and I would like to invite all of you to join us May25th at Pyramid Hills Sculpture Gardens for Bob's Celebration Of Life, from 1 -4. It is acres of 2 story tall sculptures in a beautiful setting. We have reserved the Lodge in case of inclement weather--or heat! Please come and join us. Share your stories and pictures, we'll play music and drink beer, eat too much and help each other heal.
Thank you all for being there.
Hugs, Pat
