Journal
I felt it appropriate in some way to put a period on this journey that we have traveled together these last 5 months. Bob was a fighter, in life and in death. He believed that working hard was the essence of earning his legacy. But Bob's legacy wasn't earned through hard work. It was a natural achievement of loving and caring and believing in our Lord, Jesus Christ! He loved His Lord, his wife, his son and his family, his friends (which were many) and he loved his Clemson Tigers. A simple life made larger than life by his capacity to care for others. As we watched the balloon release of his Clemson orange and took in his favorite "Tiger Rag", we all smiled as this is just the way he would have wanted it. I watched those balloons until they faded into the atmosphere. I stood beside my dearest friend with my arm around her and I felt peace. Bob was home! And it is now our job to live on his legacy. A legacy of living simply and loving completely. This song seems to say everything! I hope you enjoy! Love one another!
