Bob update

Wednesday morning he complained of pain at neck.  Caregivers stated this is normal from surgery.  He came home Wednesday at 4.  The pain progressed and intensified. 0 head rotation.  He is prescribed an addition pain med 1 every four hours and only taken when requested.  He doesn't like to take, however, has requested.  Still feels the pain.  We are at the surgeon office now.  Can't imagine he will be sent home as he stated he will not be able to 🐻 the pain.  

We have applied heat and ice using neck heat and ice wrap. Neck back and should heating pad.  Sleep position adjustments.  He now needs help getting up as the pressure is overwhelming.

He is admitted for spinal test.  

So if there possibly is an infection they have caught it.  Also they will make sure shunt is flowing at the right level and draining properly.
