Journal entry by Samantha Bond —
Bobby and I went to Sentara Obici hospital this day because he was having urinary discomfort and abdominal spasms and I suggested going to the E.R. Well the P.A. thought that he had a kidney stone from all the symptoms he was describing but she also inquired about the bulge in his groin area right around his thigh and felt best to order a CT scan. While they were waiting on blood work and looking at the scans, Bobby fell asleep due to the medicines they prescribed him. I went to the cafeteria to get something to eat. Something in my gut was telling me that this was more serious than just a kidney stone. When the doctor came into the room, he told us the news, "You have cancer, we found a sarcoma in your pelvic region".
