Bob/Ray’s Story

Site created on January 2, 2022

Bob, Pat, and Ray were in a head on collision December 30th on Hwy 169 near Ely.  Pat died at the scene. Ray and Bob were unresponsive at the scene and transported to Ely and Virginia  then  later  to Duluth. Both have multiple injuries and have  gone through surgeries since then.  Our family created this site  to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

Journal entry by Mary McGrane

Hello!

Just spoke with Bob and Ray by phone. They have officially moved to rehab last week and are doing well. Uncle Bob was making jokes and made me laugh the whole time we were on the phone. He reports the physical therapists get them up into wheelchairs daily to keep them moving and healing. Both seem in great spirits. Bob reports they do not want any more snacks or food delivered even  though they thank all who have thought of them this way. He said they have more food than they can possibly eat. He said the best thing others can give is positive vibes!
