This is beautiful- and what a blessing to have these essays and know Blake is currently living his best life- while he waits to be reunited with him. Hugs to the entire Rodgers family.
Love,
Stephanie Smith Landry

As Work Week at the Colorado camps began, I couldn't help but think of Blake and you all, and pray for the safety of young volunteers. Thanks so much for sharing.

.....this leaves me speechless. The emotions rise up again as if it was just yesterday....and yet, to hear your testimony of God’s goodness, mercy, love, care....wow. Blake’s life and glory continues to point others to Him. God uses you three to carry on his message. And Zach, precious Zach, he has taken the best of each of you and been fueled by Blake to love on others so well and be an encourager in flesh and blood to so many, young and old. He is fearless, loyal, faithful, relentless...I can’t wait to see what God does with him. For now, I am grateful for him in our lives and the way he and his friends love on Cade.

I love the challenge, What do we want the words on our face to say? I want to ponder that. I want to be still and re-read your post over and over. Thank you for allowing us into your lives to share in your pain and to see the glory of God through all of this.

We love you and continue to pray for you.

We miss him everyday. You have an army in Lubbock praying for you, Zach, and Brett. I’m sure there are armies everywhere praying fiercely for you all. What a gift Blake was and what a gift your strength and faith are. Love you, sister.

We love you Rodgers family. I have seen God be faithful this past year as He's drawn you closer to Himself and made you brave and vulnerable as you grieve. I love that Zach is using story to share his brother with the world. It is how we connect most powerfully with each other. To claim the promise that Blake's life did not end last year, but began anew, is such a good reminder for all of us. We continue to pray for you guys, grieve with you, and celebrate in the midst of the grief all that God is doing.

We love y’all and are praying to continue to carry your burdens, as you have ours. Even in your grief, to be encouraging friends! You have taught us so much. Thank you for sharing your good and bad days, and sharing how your getting through; how Jesus has His grip on you. I am thankful for Zach’s creative ways of honoring Blake’s life and I know people will be continue to be changed as they hear these stories and see Zach’s art! Praise be to our good Father.

Teresa and family, I want you to know that I did not forget that yesterday was one year ago that Blake went Home. I prayed for you all on and off most of the day with a heavy heart. I left for DC for a job one year ago today which is why I was not able to attend the celebration of his life. What a remarkable young life Blake had and an inspiration for us all. Praying for God's comfort to continue. My heart and prayers go out to you all. Much Love, Gaye

Oh the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable his judgments, and his paths beyond tracing out! Romans 11:33.

As Brett said at the funeral "He' is the King" I will never forget Brett saying that. I'll never forget the three of you worshipping together at Hyde Park on that day. There is so much beauty along side the pain. watching you three praise Him, in this, has bren, as Brett says "spectacular". We love you and we walk with you in our hearts that day, this day, and always.
