Thanks for your patience about dates and locations for the memorial services for Bill.

On Monday, September 16, Doris and her family and friends in Florida are having a brief service of remembrance at the Hospice Center where Bill died. That service is at Hope Hospice, 2430 Diplomat Parkway E., Cape Coral, FL., at 6:00 p.m.

Then, just yesterday we had it confirmed that we will hold a memorial service at Grace Lutheran Church, Bill and Doris' former congregation in Woodstock IL, on Thursday, October 24, starting at 11:00 a.m. The service will be followed by a luncheon at the church. All are welcome and encouraged to come say your final farewells, but also to give thanks to God for the remarkable life and spirit of Bill Seger, and to greet and console his family.

There will be an obituary notice in the NW Herald sometime this week. So if you live in Illinois, watch for that, or look it up online. That notice will also indicate where memorial gifts can be sent, in lieu of flowers, which is the wish of the family.

Doris reports that she picked up Bill's cremains today (that's what they call the ashes when someone is cremated!), and that having "him" back with her is quite comforting. Thank God for any and all blessings at this time of great sadness!

Continued thanks to all who are holding Doris and Bill's family and dear friends in your hearts and in your prayers. It is also a comfort to know that so many are remembering him with such fondness, along with us who are missing him so terribly.
