Journal

Dear friends and family,

Almost a month has passed since Mom and Dad’s memorial service and reception, and my siblings and I continue to be grateful for such a beautiful day of remembering, sharing, and celebrating. There are just a few follow-up links and details we’d like to share with you

Link to service: https://youtu.be/qHVrmsk7RK0
If you attended the service, you already saw this! The link will always be available now. Please feel free to share the link with friends or family.

Link to reception: https://youtu.be/jTBynCG130w
This link is new! This is a recording of the Zoom reception which followed the service. Again, please feel free to share it. Also, please note:

  • The first 15-minutes: gathering and casual chit-chat!
  • At the 16-minute mark: Mark kicks off the formal reception, with speakers sharing in this order: Doug Zook, Peggy & John Hooper (read by Peggy Harvey Rule), John Koegel (read by Mark Harvey), Ellen Thorn, Bill Hyde (read by Sarah Harvey McNeil), Lynn Frantz (read by Amy Harvey), Mark George, Carolyn Becker.
  • At 54:15: the slideshow begins, lasts about 5-minutes, and is followed by about 10-minutes of chitchat.

Link to Service of Commemoration and Holy Communion at East Ohio Annual Conference of the UMC: On Saturday, September 26 at 9:00am (EST), Mom and Dad’s names will be read along with other clergy and clergy spouses who passed away this past year. This service will be livestreamed here: https://www.eocumc.com/eoac20/livestream.html

Tentative date of burial:  Sunday, June 27, 2021 at Lakewood Park Cemetery, Rocky River, Ohio. This will be one year to-the-date of their memorial service, and also would have been their 62nd wedding anniversary.

We hope you are staying safe and well.

Much love,

Mark, Sarah, Amy & Peggy
