James Paul Bierbaum Obituary

James Paul Bierbaum, affectionately called Jamesy, was born premature at 33 weeks gestation. He was diagnosed prenatally with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome and was given life expectancy of up to one week. James lived for 36 days with 26 of those days being spent in the NICU alongside his twin brother Vincent. James was so loved by his entire care team while he was in the hospital. He was very alert and loved to look around. He always seemed to be looking for Vincent when they weren’t next to each other. Once he was home from the hospital he was loved on by big brother Leo and would turn his head to find whoever was talking. James undoubtedly left his mark on this world and will be so missed by his brothers Vincent and Leo, his parents Mary and Matthew, his four grandparents, five great grandparents, countless aunts, uncles, and two cousins.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the following charities that had such an impact on James’ life.  Also attached below is a link to the family’s GoFundMe and their CaringBridge site detailing James’s journey.

The family will have a private, very small funeral with only immediate family. They ask that no other guests come to the church but all are welcome to attend virtually via live stream. The livestream will begin at 10am on Wednesday March 13th via the livestream linked below. Thank you for your prayers and respecting the family’s privacy at this time.
