Journal entry by Richard Gonzaludo

Yesterday was the 1-month anniversary since Bev passed.  It was a Thursday morning at 8:11 and happened fast.  I think Bev was ready.  She had her last rites just the day before and seemed calm despite not having eaten or drank anything of substance for the past three days.  But I knew to hold on to her hand and keep telling her that I loved her and all would be okay.  It's been a tough month.  I spent the following week after Bev's death at my daughter's apartment in Washington DC and often spent time on the roof where the pics where taken.  I was able to find comfort that with every sunset...even with a bit of rain, ...there is a sunrise...even if hiding behind a cloud.  AND they are both still beautiful, breathtaking, and inspiring.  And it's these little imperfections that put what Bev and I endured over the past 2 years in perspective--that it didn't diminish our love and joy over the entire 36 years we shared together.  I plan to keep posting and sharing Bev's story in the event it can help others who find her page and who are also battling GBM 4 and a hemorrhagic stroke.  Until then, thank you all and I love you Bev.
