Hello out there to all of our family and friends that have been anticipating and wondering about the updates for our lady, Beverly Jean.  It has been awhile and that is because we have been going on with hope that all would be as we all hope it to be.  Beverly had her first anniversary and first new birthday on February 8th of this year and went into Duke for her bone marrow draw the following week.  We then traveled to Florida for a dear friend's wedding and a vacation.  When we returned, although we had the test results by then, our oncologist was on vacation so we did not get to pow-wow with him until yesterday, March 18th.  Although the test results looked good to us, we were not comfortable until we "heard it from the horse's mouth".  We had a great meeting with the oncologist and all is progressing according to plan.  Beverly is in remission and all of her levels are within range.  We are very relieved and thankful and of course, due to Beverly's strong constitution we should have expected no less.  She will continue on maintenance chemotherapy and received five of her vaccinations yesterday.  Sore arms and all, we are basking in the glow of recovery.  We again thank all of you for standing in solidarity with us during this past year and some.  Your thoughts, prayers and hopes for Beverly and I are so much appreciated.  Job is not done yet but progressing on positive tracks.  Will continue to update as circumstances change or as this caregiver sees something of interest.  We are currently hunkered down in the woods until this current event improves.  Please stay safe to all of you.  David

Good Morning and best to all of you.  Been awhile since I have posted to Beverly's site but want all of our friends and family to know that Beverly is doing well and fighting the good fight as we all are.  We are quickly approaching the one year new birthday for Bev and it will bring some much needed information on her condition and as always I (but not lately) will keep you all informed.  She continues her maintenance chemo and miscellaneous other medications and is tolerating all very well.  She continues to be active, working and taking care of me.  Hard to gauge what is the hardest job but imagine, it is me.  We are so grateful for all the cards, posts and calls to let us know how special Beverly is to you all.  I want to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year and keep us in you thoughts and prayers.

Good morning and welcome to my six month and one week update on our girl, Beverly.  All continues to go well and at her appointment this week, the doctor told her that instead of coming every month for conference with her, Beverly only has to come every three months.  The blood tests looked good and although still continuing to be tired, she is doing very well.  A short nap every day for about an hour is all she needs to maintain.  She continues to eat well and I continue to try to hold her down on her gardening, etc.  We are heading to Florida for a vacation of two weeks starting on August 27th with a return around September 5th.  We are going to spend some time in Charleston on the way down and in Savannah on the way back.  Also going to spend some time with some friends in St. Augustine.  Primary reason over Labor Day weekend is Bev's family reunion and Jeff is flying in from Colorado for the weekend and then he is off to Armenia and other European locales for a vacation.  My oldest son and family will be in Armenia then also so a mini-family reunion then and meet and greet with Hasmik's family (Mark's Armenian wife, my granddaughter and a grandson on the way in December).
We are quickly approaching Beverly's one year anniversary and new birthday on February 8th, 2020.  That will mean extensive blood work and analysis and should tell us how she has responded to the transplant and what we can expect for the future.
We appreciate that you all are keeping us in your thoughts, prayers and good wishes.  We couldn't do it without you.

Hello out there in Beverly's new life.  Have not posted in awhile because things are going so well and did not have much news to post.  Beverly is doing great, lab results good, energy level up, appetite great and she is loving working in her garden.  She returned to work on part time basis in June and she is happy to be doing that, seeing her work friends, contributing to the family coffers and generally feeling like she is getting back to normal.  She is back on her remedial chemo and is having no side effects from it.  We have been a few places socially and she is happy to be doing that.  We have had a couple of social visits when she was able to see some of the people that helped her so much during recovery.  Her friends and family continue to be supportive with visits, cards, phone calls and letters.  Thank you all.  We are very fortunate and grateful to have the great friends and family that we enjoy.  Will try to post some updates as I have them but be assured if you don't hear from me it is because she is doing so well.  Keep the faith and thank you again for your support.

Good morning and WELCOME to Day 90 of my darlin's new life.  This morning we are broadcasting remote from the Angus Barn Restaurant in Raleigh (too early for Wild Turkey Lounge) so it is out on patio.  Guess you will figure out that this is an epic first day back to work for our girl.  And to say, she is delighted and a little apprehensive would be an understatement.  Doc's appointment last week was great with good lab results, a release from doc to go back to work on an abbreviated schedule, start a more vigorous exercise program and nothing but positive feedback.  Bev has been busy in the garden and entertaining two of her sisters and brother-in-law as well as her sister, Carolyn's perfect dog, Basil the Corgi.  Was good to have a furry friend in the house again.  Our son, Jeff, is coming in for Mother's Day weekend and we have high hopes of getting back in to the social scene. We have really missed our friends at Burnt Barrel in Youngsville and hope to visit soon.  Thank you all for your unending support, cards, calls and texts.  Without all of you, we would not be as positive.  Thank you a million times.

Good morning out there and welcome to Day 73 in Beverly's new life post-cancer.  She is doing terrific and getting harder and harder to hold down.  Spring is her garden time and she is insistent to be working on it.  She had a great visit with her two sisters, Joyce and Phyllis as I visited my oldest son and his family in St. Louis.  It was a great break for both of us.  Doctor's appointments are getting fewer but lab tests continue and are looking very favorable.  We are hoping that in our next visit to Duke the docs will allow Beverly more freedom of movement and social interaction.  This will be great for all of us, and most of all for all of her friends that she has missed seeing.  Visitation is now possible with some restrictions as she has yet to start her immunizations and is very susceptible to any virus.  We have made some trips out and she did with her sisters but it is a challenge to insure the environment is safe for her.  Cabin fever is setting in big time so I am trying to balance going out with her safety.  Once again, thank you for all the good wishes, thoughts and prayers.  She is hoping to get her release to start back at Angus Barn on a limited basis and she is very excited about her return to work.  That is it for now and I will try to keep all of you better informed as the days go by.

Good Morning my friends and family, thought I would check in with all of you to let you know that all is going well and per plan on Beverly's recovery.  She is feeling well, has more energy and is getting very hard to hold down to a reasonable level of activity.  Two of her sisters have been visiting and providing caregiver services since mid week last week.  I am currently in St. Louis area visiting with my oldest son (Mark), his wife (Hasmik) and my darling granddaughter Emylee.  Have been checking in with Beverly constantly and she is having a great week with sisters.  She visited her original oncologist last Friday and got a good report and test results were as expected.  We continue to be confident that we are winning the battle against cancer and thank all of you again for your support, cards, presents and prayers.  You are all champions in this fight.  Head home on Thursday of this week and will try to be more complete in the next postings.  Bless you all.  David

Dear friends, I have gotten word that you are all missing my updates on Beverly.  I didn't know I had become such a celebrity, or maybe novelty, to you and that you care as much about Beverly and her well being as I do.  We are both fine.  Beverly continues to improve as she is getting very hard to keep down.  We tilled and weeded one of the gardens today and she supervised as I dealt with it.  Got in our lettuce and arugula and hoping the seeds don't know that I planted them.  I am famous for not being the grandest of gardeners.  Way too impatient.  I am not as lax as you have thought as we have had only one visit to the clinic since my last entry.  After waiting for an hour to see the doctors PA, we decided to move on and get the important stuff from the posted lab results.  They were all good and tracking as hoped upwardly.  Bev and I had our first social engagement Saturday afternoon when we stopped at Tobacco Wood Brewery for a popper.  Bev could not drink her whole beer so I ended up with 1 and a half (no complaint from me).  She is in good spirits and loves feeling better each day.  Thank you all for your support.
