Journal entry by Betty Jo Zerfoss

My long year of cancer treatment is finally at an end. I had a great trip to Idaho for Thanksgiving with my family.  We went from my last of 33 radiation treatments into the motorhome and on our way.  My radiation burns are healed but the surgery area nerves are coming back now, so I have some phantom pains but not bad. The neuropathy pains in my feet are still a problem and keep me awake at night. The doctor gave me a prescription but I took it for a month and it did not work. Pray for continued healing from that Chemo damage.
I had my blood draw and bone scan to see how everything was doing this week.  The oncologist gave me a good report and said he would see me in 2 months for a follow up appointment. I was prescribed 5 years of estrogen blockers and he wants to get another blood draw and see how everything is going.  I don't have to get any other regular cancer tests for 6 months and then once a year.
Thank you for all your love and prayers as I have taken this journey.  Don't know what the future holds but I am resting in God's peace and care. Betty Jo
