Betty’s Story

Site created on June 8, 2019

On Friday, May 31st, Betty suffered a stroke affecting the left side of her body and her speech.  We are using this sight to keep close friends and relatives updated.  She was attended to by Dr Olson in the Fairview Mesabi in Hibbing ER. He was incredible and did a great job and we prayed together. We were led to him by the Holy Spirit and we could feel that.  Our friend Doris Schmidt came on her shift in the ER at 3pm and she was a God send also. Betty was transferred by Ambulance to St Mary's in Duluth about 7:30 on Friday evening.

Happy New Year.

We are playing for a Happy, Healthy and Peaceful New Year. Betty is doing fairly good. She has a lot of pain in both of her legs but especially in her left leg. Much of that is nerve pain and it is very painful. We are trying some Med changes to see if we can lesson the pain some. I think if we could get that pain under control, she could walk some without a walker. That being said, this will take some time but we are working on it with exercise and therapy that we do at home. She is not having any professional therapy at this time but we may go back to having some.

Praying all of you have a great new year. Many challenges out there so we all need to pray for our country and especially for the end to abortion.
