It is hard to believe it has been a year since Betty's life took a turn never expected.  I wanted to give everyone an update and wrap up the journal entries.
It has always been Betty's mission/goal to make sure that our daughter's, Jessica, life gets back to normal as fast as possible and normalcy is back in place for Jessica.  The short answer is that Betty has achieved this and more!
While the reality is that some things will never be the same, you would be hard pressed to figure out what those are.
Betty is back to driving and being chauffeur to both Jessica and her parents.
She is at the gym 3 days a week and wearing out the treadmill.
While she has and continues to make amazing strides, what is the most amazing to me is Betty's spirit.  She refuses to let her situation get her down!  
We just go back from our first family vacation since all this happened.  Betty, Jessica and I just got back from Las Vegas.  As you know, you wind up doing a lot of walking in Vegas!
Betty was awesome and didn't miss a beat.  She got tired...But so did I!!
We are both so appreciative of the prayers, calls, emails, etc. 
All I can say is that this amazing woman is hard to keep up with and is an inspiration to many!
