Like clockwork, Mom & Dad were discharged together from the rehab center at noon today. Mom went home with Karen, and Dad with me, and Jeff was at their house waiting for their arrival. Not to be overlooked, Kyoko, Lance and their wonderful Nextdoor neighbor, Nancy, were all there to greet their arrival too.
It’s been a lot of work, with much more healing and work to be done, but they are home. We are grateful, we lean on each other, each play our part, and will get through this together. We are one lucky, loving family.
