Newest Update

Journal entry by Elizabeth Lance

Happy 2021!
It's been awhile since I have updated you all. I am headed to The James today to start my first treatment of Radiation. I am so happy that I chose to go up there and feel I am in the very best care.
They have told me to plan an hour for my visits but the actual procedure is only 20 min. I will have one treatment done daily excluding weekends for four weeks.
I have not fully bounced back from my last surgery. I tire easily and my legs have ached the whole time which has still boggled my drs. I have been told that the chemo just depleted me so I didn't have many fighters to help me heal as well from surgery.  Each day I have small improvements! They say give it 2 - 3 days for everyday of chemo you had to regain your strength. That gives me basically a year.
This summer I will be feeling great!
My hair is growing like a weed!! I love it! Dark brown right now, who would have thought?? It's actually a little messy when I take my hat off it so long, HAHA.
I want to thank you for my continued prayers, text, treats, visits and love!
I COULD NOT HAVE DONE THIS WITH OUT ALL OF YOU!
Beth
