Journal entry by Beth Filston —
Dear Family and Friends,
Three months have passed since I last wrote on Caring Bridge, and I am writing now to update you on my latest scan. We are so grateful to report that it was normal! We are relishing in God's mercy and thank Him profusely.
"Praise be to the Lord,
for he has heard my cry for mercy.
The Lord is my strength and my shield;
my heart trusts in him, and he helps me.
My heart leaps for joy,
and with my song I praise him."
Psalm 28:6,7
We are focused on living day to day instead of scan to scan, and rejoice and celebrate what we know today.
I continue to gain strength, weight, and hair. I am not returning to life as I knew it, because God has created something new in me. Instead, with God's help, I am navigating what it looks like to live into the new ways he has forged over the last year, trusting in him to provide the means. Each day that I wake up, I thank God for the privilege to live another day serving him.
Thank you for your prayers and support. We could not walk this path without you.
