Newest Update

Journal entry by Beth D'Arcy

I realize I haven't updated for a bit. It will be 2 weeks tomorrow since the surgery. Doctor visit last week went well; everything proceeding as expected. He didn't remove the drains since there is still a lot of fluid draining out. Hopefully they can be removed at my next appointment (Thursday). The good news is I am allowed to shower and drive the car.

I've been feeling good, all things considered. Pain is minimal, more uncomfortable than pain really. Energy is returning. I've been back to work, not every day, but about every other day for a few hours.  Arm mobility is good (I think) also. My primary concern/complaint is a weird pinched nerve feeling in my right forearm when I reach. Sometimes I have nerve pain in my right hip also. There is numbness in my right back/underarm, so I'm thinking something is pinched or cut or swollen. Hopefully it will go away as I recover.

Continued thanks to all for the cards, gifts and well-wishes. I truly appreciate it and I feel very cared for.
