Berwin’s Story

Site created on April 6, 2021

Berwin and Glenda were involved in a motorcycle accident on Sunday afternoon on Hwy 36. A pick-up truck stopped at a stop sign and proceeded through the intersection and did not see their motorcycle. Berwin was airlifted from the scene and Glenda was transferred via ambulance to Sioux Falls.  Berwin has a left femur fracture, severed left thumb, multiple rib fractures, a pneumo, and a tear in his aorta. He was intubated on arrival to the ER and has remained intubated since. There has been attempts to remove his breathing tube, but he isn't quite ready yet. We have had some communication with him, which is positive.  Glenda had an open tib/fib on her left leg, a radial head (elbow) fracture on her right arm. She has multiple rib fracture on the left.  There has been many surgeries, set backs, and a lot of emotions. They have a long road ahead of them. Please continue to lift them in your prayers.
