Mrs. Bernie Cantrell was a Godly, gracious, Southern lady, and I will miss her presence in my life.
Mrs C was a friend, confidant, and wise counselor to me during my College years when I was courting Kristi, and I spent a lot of time in their home.
Mrs C and the Cantrell family “adopted” Kristi Boyd (my bride to be) after Dr Stanley encouraged families at FBC Atlanta to “adopt” an out-of-town College student and be a “home away from home” for them. The Cantrell family embraced Kristi as one of their own, and this began a sweet friendship that’s been going on for nearly 47 years.
Mr and Mrs C have loved us, prayed for us, been mentors, and have given us Godly counsel since we were College students and have greatly influenced our lives. They are family to us.
Kristi and I will greatly miss Mrs C’s presence in our lives for our remaining years on this earth. She was a treasure and her example and influence will continue long after her home going.
Wes and Family, I want to extend my deepest sympathies for your loss! It is evident to me how much Wes loved Bernadine and I am grateful to know that she is being loved on by Jesus even more. I pray that the Lord fills the empty space you have with his joy and peace, and I know you are looking forward to the day you reunite with her in glory.
