I just left Ben's celebration of life. What a moving and beautiful service!!!!! I am sorry afterwards that I had no words. My emotions were high, and I was just overwhelmed by this loss. A wise surgeon friend of mine advised me, "Don't retire away from something. Retire to something!". And this was definitely the case for Ben. Although he will miss you and all that he loved here, he knew his greatest experience awaited him. I will try to use his assurance of hope every day of my life. Comfort to you and your family.
