Journal entry by Cole Munge —
Becky is a little over two weeks being home now! She continues to improve daily. Last week they did some additional imaging to recheck the blood clots and they are dissipating. She still continues to struggle with her right arm and it appears it’s going to take quite a bit of therapy to get it back to normal. We have some addition testing coming up as there is concern she may have had a stroke while she was going through all the cardiac issues. Her occupation therapist also threw out the possibility her shoulder could be dislocated or partially dislocated which could be causing the same issues. She has movement in her arm from the elbow down, but is unable to lift it from the shoulder. Once they diagnose this it will determine a better path to recovery in her arm.
I started this caring bridge as a means of keeping everyone updated through the hospital stay, as it seemed a near impossible task to respond to all the messages we were receiving. Now that we are home, working on recovery, and on the path back to normal, we are going to close this chapter and move forward.
Our family wants to thank everyone for the prayers, those that participated in the meal train and signed up for future meals, and those that have donated to us financially through gift card or money. You all have helped make a difficult process a bit easier. God’s blessings to all.
