Beatrice’s Story

Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.
Bea Hamilton was born July 4, 1944 in Providence, Rhode Island.  She was the second of twins, her sister, Betty Ann Brown (Lawson) Moser having been born 15 minutes prior to her.  They moved to Bucyrus, Kansas a year later, in 1945, and she lived in the area her entire life.  In 1963 she married Paul Gangel.  They went on to have four children, and were divorced after 32 years of marriage.  She later met and married Hal Hamilton, and they have been married for nearly 20 years.  Hal and Bea currently reside in Belton, MO, where she enjoys tending her flowers and sewing for family and friends.  She and Hal have eight grandchildren.

Journal entry by Sherry Gangel

We had a small celebration of Mom's life on Wednesday, May 27, 2020.  It was limited due to the COVID-19 outbreak.  We plan to have a larger, less formal gathering in the fall.  It was so great to see those of you that were able to attend.  We thank you for all the cards, letters, flowers, gift cards, food, etc.  Unfortunately, we may not be able to send personal notes to all of you since many of the cards sent to Mom's address were accidentally thrown out.  We have added additional photos in memory of Mom and her joyous spirit.
