It’s been 547 days since a quarter size mark on Barb’s head changed our lives forever. The diagnosis of malignant melanoma brought shock, fear and sadness. But as Barb prepared to battle cancer, her mindset quickly changed to one of courage, hope and determination. Supported by 100s of family and friends, Barb endured surgeries, radiation, labs, scans, appointments and immunotherapy. Barb felt your love from near and far. Because of your amazing support, love, air hugs and prayers and Barb’s courage, fight and attitude; today we are able to announce that Barb is CANCER FREE! NO EVIDENCE OF DISEASE (NED)! Yes, I am yelling because we are super excited about this and so thankful to each and every one of you.

She has finished her 13 rounds of immunotherapy and is now in the surveillance phase where she will continue to be monitored with lab work and scans to make sure this beast stays away.
