Day two after 2nd knee replacement (March 5, 2021)
Although the knee pain did kick in after the post operation high, Barb did well last night. Most notable was clear advice from a nurse friend (whose husband had recent knee replacement (s)). The written and verbal instructions from staff are very general and top line about what not to exceed)

The friend noted the medication specifics off the bottle and suggested “x” amount every four hours. The result was that Barb had a good night’s sleep and her pain (although not pain free) is under control.

As I expected, Barb is very much on top of her exercises and managing everything herself. I did help her with breakfast and will check in on her today and take time to listen to her “reports”. Otherwise, she wants me to continue with my kitchen remodel etc. life is good.

Barb has follow up appointments scheduled with her surgeon and PT. I will wait and offer updates on that and her progress on the bike so this will be it until then.

Barb appreciates the texts and calls and feels well loved by friends and family.

Maggie, of course, is a happy cat now that Barb is home.

PS., Barb took care to prepare meals in advance so meals are easy, delicious and healthy 💕

Love to everyone 💕
