Newest Update

Journal entry by Glenn VanBenschoten

We can call this the early summer update...

We arrived in Rochester June 11th vs our plan of May 15th. Glenn had an unwelcome visitor (kidney stone) on May 5th, so dealing with that delayed our travel to Rochester. At any rate we are here and settled into our furnished townhome rental for the summer. We'll be heading back to FL on Sept 15th.

Barbara continues to progress but at an even slower rate which is to be expected I guess. Therapy has ended as there is not much more they can do for her in that type of setting. Future progress will come from "experiencing life", so we're getting back into the swing of things. Got her reconnected with her Rochester Garden Club friends and their many summer activities, visiting friends and family, etc.

If you would like to get together with us (or Barbara), give me a call at 507-206-1971 or e-mail me at gtvanben@gmail.com to make arrangements. We should be around for all but 4th of July week which we'll spend in Madison, WI with son Brian and family.

Thank you everyone for your prayers and support in this journey, we couldn't have gotten this far along without it. Barbara is truly our "miracle girl" and God clearly has other plans for her.

Take care and have a great summer everyone!
