Journal entry by Barbara Dawson —
Hello Everyone,
I have been remiss in updating the caringbridge, sorry about the lapse. After surgery in December I needed more time to recover than I anticipated. I had the surgery on December 14th and came home on the 15th but I had to return to the emergency room on the 16th for a hematoma in my right breast. They had to take me back in for surgery but all of it worked out. They put in a drainage tube and after five days they were able to remove it.
They did extra tests on the tissues they removed from my breasts and good news!! I have stage 1 cancer with no spread and I don't need chemo. I will be starting with radiation soon but my cancer is very curable. I will have to take medications after radiation but all in all very good news. Thank you everyone for your support and good thoughts.
Love
Barbara
