Barbara’s Story

Site created on March 26, 2019

This is Barbara’s third time to battle cancer. The first two times were lung cancer. Two different primary cancers. Non-small cell carcinoma and adenocarcinoma. This started December 2004. March 2019 she was diagnosed with a third primary cancer: invasive ductal carcinoma. Her lumpectomy surgery is set for May 13, 2019. All prayers welcomed.

Journal entry by Ginger Doyle

From mom:

Through the grace of God.....the powerful prayers of my friends and family....and an amazing team of doctors at MD Anderson Cancer center.....In the matter of 3 months I was diagnosed with Invasive Ductal Carcinoma of the breast....treated with surgery and told today that my cancer is completely gone.  Clean. wide margins with the tumor excision, no lymph node involvement.....all together means no radiation or chemotherapy.  I will be given a pill daily for life to control hormone production. Apparently that is the end of my breast cancer story.   I am amazed and so grateful to those who helped me along this quick but difficult journey.  God bless you.
