I have experienced some of what you are going through. I won't lie and say that hurt will go away. You'll hunt for thst purpose until you find something that seems to help you honor her memory the best you can. I can say I have experienced much trauma in my life as well, but nothing like losing my child. I still have the ups and downs 2 years later and still want to give up many days. But I continue to live day by day and try my best to honor my son's short life.

Dear Paul - It is wonderful that you have the gift of writing - journaling is a beautiful way of expressing your grief and growth. Sharing your thoughts inspires all of us while following your story. I think and pray for you all daily. Izzy's garden is so sweet and will grow to be a beautiful colorful garden. We've planted Japanese maples at different homes we've had in remembrance of family members who have passed. Love to both of you - Chris and Alice Brown

Dear Paul,
Oh how I wish I had some magic words that could take away your pain. I don’t know how you feel, but I know that you and Lis need support. The gospel gives us an eternal perspective, that’s true, but how do you get from here to there? I don’t have the answers, but I’m here to listen. The grief cycle is a roller coaster. You didn’t ask to get on the ride, but now that you’re forced to be on it, I will pray that you have the strength to hang on. Isabella’s garden is beautiful!
