Lucas’s Story

Welcome to our CaringBridge website! As many of you may know, Sam and I have prayed for a long time for this child and to be blessed through adoption. On Friday, May 1, we received the amazing news that a mom had chosen us. With a due date in early July, we anticipated we would have time to plan. However, God had other plans for us and our baby. Lucas was born on May 2 at 11:01 PM weighing 3 lbs 9 oz and 16.5 inches at 30 weeks. He is doing amazing and we are so blessed that God continues to watch over him, but we have a long road in front of us with a possible 10 week stay in the NICU in the hospital in San Antonio.  

We are overwhelmed but our hearts are so full! As a way to keep family and friends updated, Teri created this site for us so we can continue to keep everyone in the loop without having to text and call everyone individually. We love you all and appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

Surgery went really well! 95% success rate that he will not need another surgery!! Thanks for all the prayers, just waiting now for them to bring him out of recovery 💗🙏🏼💗
