As some may already know and some do not, Kylen Ike Smith made his way into this world on Thursday 4/4/19 weighing 8lbs 11oz and 21inches long.  He was delivered by c-section.  He was then transferred to the NICU because of low blood sugar, and low oxygen saturation.  When Friday came around Kylen needed an echo cardiogram done on his heart as the nurse was still hearing a heart murmur which should have closed.  Around 4pm they heard news that no parents want to hear: Kylen has a heart condition known as Tetrology of Fallot and will need to be transferred the Children's hospital to get the care that he needs.  This is a serious condition, but Kylen is in the best care, Children's hospital is ranked number 10 in the nation and number 1 in Colorado, and he is under great care of medical staff.  Kylen is going to have to have heart surgery, and a long road for recovery.  As Kaila and Isaac will be staying with Kylen at the hospital the bills will continue to pile up. Kaila and Isaac have 4 other children at home that have to be taken care of during this most trying time.    I am here to ask for help.  They will need help with rent (1,450/month), food, and necessities.
They are able to have a room there at no cost, but have food they have to pay for; as eating out for breakfast, lunch, and dinner is not cheap.  Any donation will mean so much to them, so they can spend time with Kylen as he needs his parents the most right now and Kaila and Isaac need each other.
In all things I have shown you that by working hard in this way we must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he himself said, "It is more blessed to give than to receive."
Acts 20:35
Bear one another's burdens and so fulfill the law of Christ.
Gal 6:2
All donations received will go to Kaila and Isaac.
Thank you so much for your love and support in any way!

Newest Update

Journal entry by Rita Lynch

Just wanted to try and keep everyone updated with my sweet nephew ♥️ he is doing good! He did have a cardiologist appointment last Friday and it looks as there is more blood flow to his lungs, the tech is not positive if the vessels have grown but with the increased blood flow that could be happening. He will be getting a scan around 6months old to be positive if they have grown. Please conintue to pray for healing for this precious bundle of joy ☺️ He is definitely a fighter. He is getting oxygen at night, and sometimes throughout the day if he needs it!
