Journal entry by Andrew Hora —
Good afternoon all,
Thank you, thank you, thank you, for all the prayers. Even though there were definitely bumps in the road, we are headed home for Christmas. Eloise’s heart function is also back to baseline, which we are grateful for. That being said, we should all continue to pray for those that aren’t able to go home for the holidays - we pray for healing and strength.
We are thankful Eloise is doing so great after a very challenging, yet rewarding 2023. God has gifted us the most precious daughter, and he has gifted amazing people like Dr. Jennifer Romano the ability to help fix so many kids’ hearts. To the staff of C.S. Mott’s, it is SO bittersweet saying goodbye. We made a lot of friends with front desk ladies, nurses, NPs, and doctors. We are forever grateful for the impact you’ve made on our family in addition to so many other families. As far as next steps, Eloise shouldn’t have any procedures until around May 2026. We are thankful for 2023 and are looking forward to 2024! Hope you all have a safe and healthy Christmas!
Love,
Andrew, Alyssa, Eloise and Duke 🤍
