Today marks a year and this will officially be my last post. Thank you for following us on this journey. I found much comfort in writing and seeing all the support through Caring Bridge, through especially Ayden's darkest hours. Everyone involved holds a special place in all our hearts. Together we have all watched Ayden strive and push for more. As he still continues to do today. He has broken through barriers and excelled where doctors were even surprised. There were many setbacks moving forward but even with the two steps back, there was always that step forward.  It truly is amazing to reflect back and see what a year can accomplish. This very easily could of went in a whole different direction and for this our family feels grateful and blessed. 

Moving forward I know many have been able to connect with Ayden and get updates and I hope everyone keeps in touch in some shape or form. Feel free to reach out to me anytime. I can only see Ayden continuing to excel from here. He is motivated and determined and I am so proud of him. Many of the surgeries to come will be reconstructive. Ayden did have an appointment this coming week with plastics but it has been moved again for yet another week out. So this has shown to be a slow process. But he will get there.
