Avery’s Story

On Monday, February 8, 2021 our beautiful Avery was diagnosed with a rare bone cancer called Ewing's sarcoma.   What we thought was a simple bone graft procedure to strengthen a weakened bone in her left shoulder, resulted in the discovery of a malignant tumor. Although our family was devastated by the news, we quickly transitioned into battle mode. We Wisdoms love a good challenge! Please join us in supporting Avery as she channels her strong will, big personality, and amazing sense of humor to kick this cancer's ass.  Send all the prayers and good vibes you can spare her way!

The Merriest Christmas

I am so happy to announce that Avery finished her last chemo treatment yesterday!! It has been almost 10 months to the day since she received her first round and started this crazy journey. I don't know how, but it strangely feels like the longest year that ever flew by. We couldn't be prouder of her positive attitude throughout this process and her all-out determination to make it to the finish line. I noticed the sparkle in her eyes shining brighter this week as she slowly began to realize that treatment was really wrapping up. It is by far the best Christmas gift we could ever receive. 

Thank you for all your amazing support for Avery and our family throughout this year. We are forever grateful for the outpouring of kindness and love we had the pleasure of witnessing and receiving time and time again. It is beyond humbling.

Merry Christmas to you all and cheers to a happy and HEALTHY 2022!
